This black Bangalore silk saree is that version of the craft: quieter, denser, and in its own way more demanding of the artisan's hand.

Every inch of the border and pallu is filled with the Banjara tribe's signature stitch vocabulary — diamonds, spirals, and blossoms in coral, teal, and mustard threadwork against deep black silk, finished with a striking red edge. It reads modern and bold, while still carrying the nomadic heritage the craft has always belonged to.
