Product Story

Long before Kantha found its way onto silk and organza, it lived on quilts — old sarees layered and stitched by Bengali women, running stitch by running stitch, into something new. That same needle-and-thread patience shapes this baby pink organza saree, where an entire field of hand-embroidered sunflowers has been stitched to bloom across sheer, floating fabric.

Each sunflower is built stitch by stitch in mustard, rust, and gold thread, ringed by hand-worked green leaves and trailing vines — bold, sun-warmed color against the softest pink organza base. Along the border, striped Kantha threadwork in coral, green, and cream frames the piece, with a small hand-stitched bird perched on the pallu, a quiet signature of the artisan's hand.
